The carousel story style
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then we can probably say a lot with ten pictures, right? A Carousel, as they’re called on Instagram, is a series of images that you swipe through in order — kind of like a presentation. The Carousel Style is a great way to illustrate your story with words or pictures. Walk through the process with Josh Hughes, our guide, for more information on this quick and easy story style!

You've already identified the components of your story; to review, they are:
A character
Who wants something
But can’t have it because of an obstacle
And has already attempted on their own
Meets a guide (Jesus or perhaps someone Jesus sent) that helped the character overcome the obstacle, by giving them a plan
And calls them to action
To avoid failure and experience success
And experience transformation
We’re going to add another component to this story: the hook.
Think about the stakes of the story -what’s the failure you’re trying to avoid? Why does the character want the thing they desire? What’s the part of your story that will make people most curious or interested? That’s your hook.
Try to write each component in a single sentence so that you can boil it down to the essentials.

Now we’re going to represent this story in a series of images – and no worries, you don’t need to be a graphic designer! We’ve prepared a template for you at canva.com; all you need to do is plug in the information.
Open up the template and on each slide, replace the text with components of your story.
When you’re finished, click “Download” in the top right to save your images to your computer
